K, i feel like I have a love hate relationship with this shirt. I love it, but it’s very strange to me. When I hold up my arms i look like a flying squirrel, but when i keep them down i feel like Edward Scissorhands. It’s one of those shirts that I always am on the verge of getting rid of, but never actually do. After seeing the pics, I’m still unsure…chances are it will stay put for a while.

Transistioning a Summer Favorite To Fall
Over this past summer I realized that I love the stripes/leopard combo! I love it so much, I’m now finding a way to bring that into my fall fashion. I paired a striped tee and leopard scarf that I have worn multiple times over the summer with shorts, with a darker, longer pair of slacks. Since it’s still kind of indian summer, I’m wearing my new Zoe Ankle Slacks from Ann Taylor Loft, but there is a chill in the morning so I added on my short sleeved wool jacket. love it! Also, since I just got these slacks a couple weeks ago, I was hoping that I’d be able to find another couple ways to wear them before it got too cold for them…mission accomplished!
Shoes: Payless ($15)
Slacks: LOFT ($2.44 – marked down from $60!!!)
Shirt: Kohl’s (old)
Scarf: Bob’s – birthday gift from sister.
Jacket: Banana Republic ($79 – old apx 3 years)
The Cat’s Meow
I’ve been wanting this dress something terrible. No really. For the last 6 – 8 weeks I’ve been absolutely DYING for the dress. I’ve been checking it out on LOFT.com everyday. Sometimes more than once a day. So when I finally found myself in the store I decided it was time to bite the bullet and buy the damn dress. It just so happened that they had exactly one dress (in the back, not even on display), and it was exactly my size. If that doesn’t scream fate, I don’t know what does!! The dress wasn’t on sale, which is a huge turn off to me, but sometimes when you want something bad enough, you gotta treat yo self!
The story gets better though, of course. I went home to see if they had the dress online for cheaper…they did. I got an email earlier that morning for a 40% off sale. OK, great! I can get the dress for $50 instead of $80, and they had that skirt that i tried on in the store that I just loved that they didn’t have in my size. Awesome. I went to check out and for some reason my coupon code wasn’t working. So I called the corporate office where the girl explained they were having a flash sale, and I should try that code instead. So I did. I ended up getting my dress 60% off, aka only $35!! And I got the Skirt! So both the skirt and the dress, which originally would have cost $140+, I got for $55! Needless to say, I’m more than happy with my online purchases
Shoes: Payless ($16.99)
Dress: LOFT ($34, on sale from $85)
Necklace: Charming Charlie ($15)

#BargainShopperForLife
I can’t stress enough how much of a steal these pants were!! I got them at Ann Taylor LOFT over labor day weekend. I was looking through the sale rack (of course) and came across these Zoe Ankle Trouser Pants. They aren’t necessarily something that would have caught my eye for $70, which was their original price, but for $4.88, sure I’ll try them on. I tried them on. They were light weight, comfortable, and professional looking and thought I’d get them to wear to work. Then I realized the best part: they were on sale – 50% off. They were literally only $2.44. Even if I wear them only once, they are TOTALLY worth it. That being said, after wearing them once, I’m already completely planning on wearing them again – I’m hoping to get at least 2 – 3 more wears on them before it gets too cold to wear ankle trousers.
Shoes: Payless (old, but if i remember correctly they were $16.99)
Pants: LOFT ($2.44)
Shirt: Kohl’s ($20)
Necklace: Charming Charlie ($15)

Dressing Up a Tee
Dressing Up a Tee is as easy as one, two, three. I cannot believe how easy it is to dress up such a simple outfit! Seriously though. Jeans and a white tee…add a black blazer and chunky necklace and we are all spiffed up. cool.
Shoes: Payless ($20)
Jeans: Old Navy (old)
Shirt: Forever 21 (hand me down from sister)

Nothing Like a Good Pattern Mix!
Feelin Dottie
I loveeee this skirt. I always feel like once I wear a skirt on a Monday I wear skirts for the rest of the week. I’m not sure really why I do that, but I do. haha. I love this J. Crew Pencil Skirt, and Banana Republic blouse. Nice, light, and airy for our humid summer!
Shoes: Payless ($20)
Skirt: J.Crew ($23, originally $85)
Blouse: Banana Republic ($8, originally $50)
Bracelets: Alex & Ani / J. Crew
A Scary Victorian
I’ve had this shirt for years, and I’ll be the firs tone to admit that it’s a little weird, but there is something about it that I love. Like it’s pretty and scary at the same time. I paired this with my apparent summer-favorite: my skinny camos, and voila, an outfit that is so comfy I could sleep in it!!
Sandals: Old Navy ($5 – old)
Skinnies: TJ Maxx ($17) originally purchased as flares, but I sewed them into skinnies
Tank: Target (old)
Necklace: Target Beads, Manchester CT
Better Late Than Never!
This post is late, but better late than never, am I right? So today I ended my week of skirts with this zebras number. I got this skirt super on sale at LOFT, and just love it…I haven’t found a good way to wear it other than with a black top, but ill certainly work on it!!
Shoes: Justfab.com ($40)
Skirt: LOFT ($15)
Shirt: Old Navy ($5)
Necklace: New York & Co. (Gift)
Polkadots and Peach
Blue without Orange…Yes, it’s true
I’m wearing another one of my sister’s dresses today. This one is cotton and is SOOOOOO comfortable! I love it! It’s just a plain teal colored dress, so I added a thick black belt and some black accessories. I am also wearing a black cardigan with this outfit, which is not shown, because my office is super cold!
Shoes: Payless (hand me down from mom)
Dress: Land’s End (borrowed from sister)
Necklace: Harvest (Bead and jewelry store in Manchester CT )
Earrings: Lia Sophia
Bracelet: Lia Sophia
Pop of Neon
I wore this out to dinner last night with my bestie, and was too lazy to pick out a new outfit for today, so here it goes again…why not? haha It seems to be my new monday trend to “rewear” one of my weekend outfits.
Shoes: Target.com ($15)
Pants: TJ Maxx ($18)
Tank: Old Navy ($5)
Purse: TJMaxx, Jessica Simpson Line ($25)
Earrings: old
Comfort = Style? Cool.
So for the past 3 days (yes, three days) I’ve been living in these leggings and TOMS. I’ve really only taken them off to shower and sleep. Sometimes I really forget the value of leggings. It’s like wearing nothing, but way better because its socially acceptable. Today I’m pairing my leggings with a gold lacey tank from Express. Nothing special, but quick, easy and comfortable. Good enough for me!
Shoes: TOMS ($17 + $8 shipping at cheaptomsonlinestore.com)
Leggings: Kohls ($20)
Tank: Express ($20, I think, this top is kind of old – I highly doubt I’d spend more than that on a tank, though)
Owl Always Love My Comfy Old Tees!
Today (and tomorrow) its supposed to be nasty and rainy so I’ve already decided I’m going to wear what’s comfortable. No heels, no sandals, and no open toes because its too wet and cold for that! I went with black flats and a pair of denim skinnies. Then I puled out my good ole owl t-shirt, which I got years ago in upstate NY when visiting my gram. Actually, I didn’t even love the shirt at the time, but my gram loved it, so I ended up getting it. I paired it with a longer black blazer because my office is frigid.
I actually decided last minute that I’d try it with my black chucks and a black zip up hoodie (going for the full on comfort), but I looked in the mirror and felt like I was running late to Algebra II, so decided to go with the more classic look of the blazer and flats. Sometimes being an adult is just not all that fun…
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Skinnies: Old Navy
Tee: Department Store in Upstate NY
Blazer: Banana Republic
Necklace: Hand me down from mom – I think she got it at NY & Co.
Finally Getting What I Want
As I mentioned in a past post, I had been looking for camo skinnies without much luck in my price range. I did find a pair of bootcut camo pants at TJ Maxx for $18, thought. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but the price was right, so I went with it and decided to try to make it work. I did wear the pants a couple times, but just wasn’t crazy about the cut – It just wasn’t what I wanted. So, I took matters into my own hands. I looked up a tutorial online and pulled out my trusty sewing machine and sewed my cheap bootcut pants into the skinnies that I really wanted. Final result: not too shabby, if you ask my opinion!
Anyways, Today I’m wearing my “new” camo skinnies, with a white tee, my leopard Sperrys and my leopard scarf. I love this combo, love this outfit, and love my “new” pants!
Shoes: Sperry Top Sider ($80)
Pants: T.J. Maxx ($18)
Shirt: Old Navy (really old)
Scarf: Bob’s (birthday gift from sister)
Bracelet: Lia Sophia
Earrings: Old – Can’t remember
Edging Out Friday
It’s cold and rainy today, which means its the perfect weather to cozy up! Today I’m wearing a light-weight scarf along with a tank, some black skinnies, and my chucks. I’m pumped about this because a couple weeks ago these pants were too tight to wear, but I guess my hard work is finally starting to pay off! sweet deal! I also threw on a blue cardigan that is the same color as my tank because my office is a bit on the cold side, but I’m only wearing it as needed.
Shoes: Payless (not sure, have had these shoes for about 8 years)
Skinnies: J.Crew ($20 on clearance – steal!)
Tank: Old Navy ($5, on sale from $10)
Scarf: Target (Christmas gift)
Earrings: really old, can’t remember
Dalmatian Spots + Hot Pink = Hot Combo!
Today I’m wearing my sister’s Dalmatian-ish spotted dress along with hot pink accessories. Since its supposed to be in the 90s today I decided I wanted to wear a dress and it was between this one and a maxi (spoiler alert: I’m wearing the maxi tomorrow). I chose to wear the shorter dress today, and the maxi tomorrow because I’m dog walking at lunch and since the maxi is new I didn’t want to risk the bottom getting dirty outside.
Anyways, back to what I’m wearing today. Today I’m in my sister’s dress, some black open toe wedges, and all pink accessories from my belt, to my watch, to my earrings, and of course to my statement necklace. I love the black/white/hot pink combo. The other part of this outfit that I love is that it was basically free because most of the items I’m wearing are borrowed, gifted or SUPER cheap. See below the pic for costs.
Shoes: Payless (“borrowed” from mom. aka she bought them, wore them once, then gave them to me. SCORE)
Dress: LOFT (borrowed from sister – Thanks Kate)
Belt: Old Navy (2 pack for $15)
Necklace: Christmas gift from sister
Earrings: Aldo (3 pack for $9)
Watch: LOFT ($10, on sale from $20)
Pinspired
I saw this outfit on Pinterest a while ago. Actually, my mom pinned this outfit on one of our shared boards. Thanks Mom! This outfit looks so comfy! I didn’t feel like my “real” chambray shirt was long enough to wear with this (maybe after I lose 10 lbs I’ll change my mind), and I didn’t have leopard flats, though I feel my life is incomplete without them, so I should probably look into that ASAP, so I wore what I did have. A chambray inspired collar shirt, leggings and some brown leather flats with a leopard scarf. Problem solved. Same general concept, but I moved the prints around a bit. I like it. Extremely comfy for work (obviously I don’t have to dress up at my office), and easy to make warmer or cooler by rolling up or down the sleeves.
Shoes: Payless ($16.99)
Leggings: Kohl’s ($20)
Shirt: Ralph Lauren ($5 – also about 7 years old)
Scarf: Bob’s (birthday gift from sister)
Earrings: J.Crew (bridal party gift)
Stripes Again
So I guess you can say I’m on a stripe themed week…its ok. Next week no stripes. OK, I can’t guarantee that, but I definitely will be trying to mix things up a bit!
Shoes: Famous Footwear ($30)
Pants: GAP (hand-me-down so FREE)
Shirt: Kohl’s (Can’t remember/old)
Necklace: Gift from mom
Earrings: Express (old)
Black, White, and Mint All Over
I wanted to wear this shirt today, and since the majority of my clothes are laying on my closet floor instead of hanging up where I can see them I had very little time (and by time I mean patience) to sift through my bottoms and decide what to wear for pants. I saw these mint jeans on top and decided it was a winner. Whether I chose this outfit from a vision or just through pure laziness, I don’t really care…I like it either way. Man, I really need to start picking out my outfits on the weekends again!
Shoes: Payless (hand-me-down from mom, aka FREE)
Skinnies: LOFT ($20, originally $60)
Shirt: Bob’s ($4, yep, $4 – super clearance…used a $10 gift card they sent me in the mail for my birthday, so essentially, this was free!)
Scarf: Charming Charlie ($15)
Earrings: Express (old, can’t remember)
Bracelets: Alex & Ani and J.Crew
Watch: Kohl’s
Ruffles and Pearls on a Wednesday
This is another purchase from the outlet shopping experience over the weekend. Peach and navy are such a great combo! I decided to add in some pearls on my necklace and my earrings…not much else to say – here we go:
Shoes: Famous Footwear (old – i think about $30)
Skinnies: Old Navy ($30)
Shirt: Old Navy ($30, originally $45)
Cardigan: Old Navy (old)
Necklace: Avon (grandma didn’t want it and gave it to me over the weekend)
Earrings: Old – can’t remember
Black and Lilac
I wore this outfit very similarly sometime last fall with my leather blazer, black boots, and pearls. Now that its getting warmer, I decided to try it out again sans the jacket along with some different, more warm-weather shoes, and changed up the necklace. This shirt also came with a belt/sash the same color as the shirt, but since both the shirt and the belt are very silky I always feel like I’m retying the belt or that its slipping all around. Ain’t nobody got time for that, so I wanted to try it with a black belt. I was delighted to find this thick black belt in my closet. No really, I was. I was literally just thinking a few days ago that I wish I didn’t get rid of that belt because I kind of wanted to wear it, and what do you know…I didn’t get rid of it! Sweet!
You probably notice that I wear these shoes like everyday. I know. I can’t help it! They are wedge heels, so they are super comfortable, and they go with everything. Seriously! I can wear them with jeans, nice slacks, skirts…just about anything. I have them in leopard as well, which you have also seen a lot of if you read my blog. And being an self-proclaimed Mega-Bargain-Shopper, the fact that they were only $15 a piece makes me love them even more!
Shoes: Payless ($15)
Black Skinnies: J.Crew ($20 – originally $115 -holler!!)
Blouse: LOFT (can’t remember – old)
Belt: Kohls…I think…really old, can’t remember
Necklace: Charming Charlie ($12)
Watch: Kohl’s
Bangles: J.Crew and Alex & Ani (assorted prices)

Boring Boring Boring…
Meh! This week I’m just not into any of the outfits I picked out!! Just having one of those weeks where I’m standing in my packed-to-the-gills walk-in closet saying to myself “I have NOTHING to wear!!!”. Somewhere in the depths of my soul I know this isn’t really the case, but for whatever reason I just couldn’t put together one half way decent outfit! I promise you that I’ll come up with some better stuff next week…but until then, this is what I’ve got: Mint skinnies (mild obsession right now), a black and white colorblocked chiffon bouse, and black and silver accessories with black wedges. Totally boring, which is not my typical style…I’m in a rut! wah!
Shoes: Payless ($15, regularly $20)
Skinnies: LOFT ($20, regularly $60)
Blouse: Kohl’s ($24, regularly $36)
Jewelry (matching necklace and earrings): Harvest (olddddd – middle school)
Opposites Attract
Recently my sister was getting rid of a bunch of clothes and while most of it was stuff that was “too young” or unfortunately, too small for me, there were a few diamonds in the rough. I found this argyle sweater in there, and I snatched it up right away. I actually have another argyle sweater (see HERE) that I got super cheap at Target like 7 years ago that I wear from time to time and every time I wear it, for some odd reason, I get a lot of compliments…so I scooped this one out of the give-away bag. We’ll see if it has the same effect! So far so good.
The thin stitch through the grey, white, and black of the sweater is hot pink, which means this is the perfect opportunity to wear my hot pink bubble necklace without it being overbearing, a skinny pink belt and pink oversized studs. In order to take some of the prep out of the outfit, I decided to go with ripped white skinnies, but kept it classy with some black wedges. On another day, I might wear this same outfit with my chucks – we’ll see.
OK – so the white skinnies: when is it OK to wear white pants? Is before Memorial Day fine? I think so. I spoke with my mom about this because I wasn’t 100% sure it was alright to do, but we decided that fashion has changed. It much less rigid than what it used to be; mixing colors and prints and styles is an everyday things now (for me) so some white jeans a few weeks before Memorial Day on a warm spring day is completely acceptable in my book!
Shoes: Payless ($15)
Skinnies: Express ($40)
Tank: Old Navy ($5, on sale from $10)
Argyle Sweater: Hand-Me-Down from sister (old from Old Navy)
Belt: Old Navy (2 pack for $15)

Soft Edge
I’m not really sure what I’d call this style, but I put it together and I’m trying it out. Today I’m in my chucks, which was partially planned because I ran 8 miles before work and didn’t think my legs would appreciate 5″ heels today, and partially because I love these kicks. Then my rose pink skinnies, a hand-me-down tee from my seester, a hand-me-down leather jacket from my seester, and some costume diamonds.
Shoes: Payless (wicked old, don’t remember cost)
Skinnies: LOFT ($20, regularly $60)

Mixing Parterns on a Monday Morning
I came across this outfit on Pinterest a while back and have been dying to try it out. I love this casual look, but course I took it one step further. I added in camo pants. I’ve been drooling over camo skinnies since I’ve seen J (J’s Everyday Fashion) wear them a bunch of different ways, but didnt want to spend the money on them wherever I’ve seen them. I saw them for $70 at the Gap, and even more expensive than that online. I then went to TJ Maxx to look for something else and figured I may as well just check if they have a pair of camo pants that would fit my fancy…and they did. They litereally had one pair, in one size, and they fit like a glove. It was meant to be. To make things even better, they were missing a button, so I was able to get them more discounted, which is always great! They were bootcut, not skinnies like I originally wanted, but for the $50+ discount I was willing to let it go. They still get the job done!
Anyways, back to the outfit. I found this outfit on Pinterest, which I mentioned above, and I really liked it, and thought I could rock some camo pants, which are almost as neutral as the pants she’s got on. Click on the picture to see more outfits by Lily on her style blog. I’m glad I came across it! Thank you Pinterest!
I’ve mixed the camo pants with a striped t-shirt, denim jacket, and my leopard scarf, and voila! look complete.

Shirt: Kohl’s ($15)
Denim Jacket: Old Navy ($30)

Tuck in a Peplum Top for a New Look!
Happy Monday! I actually hate when people say that, but I feel that way this morning because I picked out all my outfits for this week already so I feel like I’m one step ahead of the game! The Limited opened a new store in Evergreen Walk, in South Windsor, right across the street from LOFT, which is one of my favorite stores, so my Mom, my sister and I went a checked it out a few weeks ago. I ended up getting this shirt, which is white and tan woven material with a black bow on it. I’m IN LOVE with it, but I haven’t worn it yet. Last week was still a bit cold, but this week is going to be great weather so it’s definitely time to break out all the skirts. Now if we could just get it to be a bit warmer so I can wear my opened toed shoes!!
I paired the skirt with my black lace peplum shirt, which I’ve worn a bunch since I got it last month (great purchase!), only this time I tucked it in, which was a trick I never would have thought of on my own (I actually got the idea from J’s Everyday). For accessories, I did tan and black two-toned pumps, and a matching earring/necklace set. Normally I wouldn’t go matchy-matchy with the jewelry, but I thought it was ok in this instance.
Shoes: Payless ($14, purchased 7 years ago)
Skirt: Limited ($35)
Shirt: Kolh’s ($20)
Jewlery: Lia Sophia (can’t remember price, purchased a few years ago)
Today I’m going with my “Birthday Outfit”, not to be confused with my birthday suit. 😉 I wore this when I went out to dinner and bowling with some friends for my birthday a couple weeks ago, and I really liked it. The pants have some stretch to them, which naturally makes them really comfortable, and the peplum top is the first (and only) that I have. pair it with some diamond and black accessories and call it a day .
Shoes: Payless ($15)
Skinnies: LOFT ($20 – on sale of course)
Shirt: Kohls ($20 – on sale)
Necklace: really old – can’t remember
Zebra Skirt on a Friday
I’m SO tired today, which does not motivate me to get my Friday up and running, but at least it’s Friday and I have the weekend to recuperate Today! Today I’m wearing some black flats, a black tank, and cardigan and a fun zebra print skirt. That’s all she wrote for me today! Have a great weekend!
Shoes: Famous Footwear ($20)
Skirt: LOFT ($18 on sale)
Tank: Old Navy ($5)
Cardigan: Old Navy (borrowed from sister)
Edgy glamour
When I saw J wearing this outfit, I immediately wanted to repeat it. I have similar items and though obviously it looks better on her, I don’t hate the look I came out with either! I love the delicate girly lace paired with the distressed denim. Two totally different looks colliding into one outfit. May as well try it out! Why not? I chose to wear my black wedges instead of nude pumps, mostly because I’m planning on wearing the pumps later this week and I like to give all my shoes an equal turn.
It’s a bit cold out so I wore a black leather blazer over the shirt on my way into work. I feel like the black leather is the perfect bridge between the ripped jeans and lace shirt.
Shoes: Payless (12.99)
Jeans: LOFT ($20)
Shirt: Kohls ($20)
Necklace: Charming Charlie ($12.99)
Earrings: Lia Sophia ($30)
Watch: Kohls ($90)

Girly Business
I did NOT want to get out of bed today, so it’s a pretty good thing I already had this outfit picked out. It’s really a simple outfit, but looks neat. Actually I bypass it a lot when I’m sifting through my closet. It’s really not my favorite outfit, and I’m not sure why because when I do wear it, I tend to get compliments on it. Either way, it will have to do for today. Basically my whole outfit is black: socks, shoes, pants, and tank, with a light-weight, baby pink “flowy” top with some black sequence stripes. Jewelry is a mix of gold, silver and black. Why? Why not?
Shoes: JustFab.com (39.99)
Skinnies: J.Crew toothpick skinnies ($15 on super clearance – go me!)
Tank: Experss (I think these are $20, but I didn’t buy this one…I accumulated it somewhere along the way…)
Shirt: Kohl’s ($15)
Earrings: Lia Sophia
Necklace: Realllllllllllly Old (probably like 15 years) as a result, I have no idea!
Bracelets: Alex & Ani and J.Crew
Watch: JLo from Kohls
Black And Tan
OK, so I’m not gonna lie, this isn’t necessarily my favorite Black and Tan, but on a Wednesday I’ll take it. I’ve been having some “calf issues” that have come to the surface as a result of the lethal mixture of 5 inch heels and being a runner. No, I don’t wear 5 inch heels while I’m running, but I do wear them on a daily basis…and then throwing on my flat running shoes and going for miles just makes everything super tight and super sore. Pain is beauty, right? Well at any rate, I decided to give my poor legs a break wear (almost) flat boots today, leggings, and a tunic. suuuuppperrr comfy. Feels like pajamas, but looks like a “real outfit”. The shirt isn’t mine, it’s my sister’s. Having a sister is ok I guess, but having a sister that is basically the same clothing size as you is AMAZING…hello doubled wardrobe!
Shoes: Liz and Co. (Christmas Gift)
Leggings: Vera Wang at Kohl’s ($20, regularly $36)
Tank: Old Navy ($5, regularly $10)
Tunic: Borrowed from my sister (she said it’s from Marshall’s)
Necklace: Tag Sale (25 cents)
Watch: JLo at Kohls
Bangles: Alex & Ani and J.Crew
Earrings: Express (longggg time ago)
Back to the Office
Yesterday I was in NYC for a conference, but today I’m back in the office – yay! I actually hate NYC with a passion so to be back to CT is great! I’m going today with a “dressy-cas” outfit. I’m wearing some low black wedges, a realllllllllllly comfy blue skirt, and a striped t-shirt, but dressed up with a black blazer and “messy” pearls.
Shoes: Payless ($16)
Skirt: Old Navy ($1.17, literally – super clearance score!!)
Shirt: Kohl’s ($7 – clearance find last year)
Blazer: Banana Republic (hand-me-down, aka FREE)
Necklace: Ann Taylor Loft (not sure on price)
Earrings: can’t remember, but somewhere like Claire’s or the Icing.
point being – you don’t have to be rich to be fashionable (or what I consider fashionable anyways!)
New York, New York
Today I’m going to the Big Apple for a conference for work and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to style the new black and white trend. I went with a black skirt, my new black and white blouse, and some black and gold accessories. Love it!!
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Skirt: Ann Taylor Loft
Blouse: Kohl’s
Bracelets: Alex & Ani and J.Crew
Watch: J.Lo, purchased at Kohl’s
Necklace: Charming Charlie
Earrings: Tory Burch (sorta)
Stripes and Spots
Stripes and spots are my new favorite trend, and because of this I decided I needed a polka-dot scarf. So I made one! I paired it with my black and creme striped “squirrel shirt” some black skinnies and black wedges. So what is a squirrel shirt? It’s a shirt that has arms but when u extend your arms you look like a flying squirrel. If u don’t know what I’m talking about, I can’t help you!
Shoes: black wedges from PayLess
Skinnies: J.Crew
Shirt: Kohls
Scarf: homemade by yours truly

Sick Day
So unfortunately I was stuck at home sick today and only left to go to the doctor, and consequently, the pharmacy. But here’s what I wore doing it… The rest of my day was spent wearing pjs in bed…wah!
Shoes: chucks, purchased at Payless a million years ago
Pants: ripped skinnies from Ann Taylor Loft
Shirt: Kohls
Zip up hoodie: Old Navy (you can’t tell from this picture, but the lining and hood are black faux fur #love
Black, White and Red All Over
Today has been rough…and it’s still early! I set my alarm for PM instead of AM, and consequently this caused me to miss my bootcamp class. What was most annoying about this situation was that I was SOOOOO ready last night. Had my bag my the door, my keys and purse on top of that, my breakfast, lunch, and water bottle stacked in the fridge, ready to go, and for what? To be late like every other day.
Anyways, today I went with the maroon sweater that I loved when I bought it, but can’t figure out a way I love to wear it, matching maroon tights, a black skirt, a striped top and some black accessories. Hey, even my phone matches! 🙂
Shoes: JustFab.com
Tights: not sure – mom gave them to me for Christmas
Skirt: Ann Taylor Loft. (I got this skirt years ago, but its a classic pencil skirt, so I’m sure it would be easy to find!)
Striped Top: Kohls
“Tuxedo” Sweater: Ann Taylor Loft
Necklace: Kohls
Elephant Earrings (which I’m obsessed with): Etsy.com
Onyx Ring: Kohls
Doggie Style
Today I went with an outfit similar to one I’ve wore before but I changed up the shoes and pants. Actually, I’m wearing this outfit because I didn’t plan anything last night, was up wayyyyy to late to think about it early this morning, and last time I wore this (on a snow day, so I worked from home) my mom told me I should have “saved it for when I was going to see people”. So, people, here I am. Scottie sweater, old plaid button down, flair leg jeans, and flats. Perfect.
Shoes: JustFab.com
Jeans: Old Navy (about 10 years ago)
Plaid Shirt: Target (5+ years old)
Scottie Sweater: J.Crew (orginally $78, I paid $23! Score!)
Necklace: can’t remember – very old
Not pictured: I also wore a black leather blazer from the Gap with this as a jacket.
Boyfriend Jeans, a Black Blazer, and Lots of Leopard (of course)
It’s been raining all night, and its still raining today, so I decided not to let the weather bring me down into a boring style day did my take on the outfit shown in on the left side of the picture below, which is something my sister pinned on Pinterest. Unfortunately I don’t have any neon pumps…wish I did! So I went with my leopard wedges and leopard scarf. (Well not my leopard scarf, but my mom’s leopard scarf). Then, like this pic I paired it with a black shirt, black blazer, and ripped jeans with gold accessories! Voila! a new outfit, that I actually really like, made out of things I’ve had in my closet for years…sweet deal!

Ripped Jeans: Ann Taylor Loft. Yes, I bought them this way!
Black Tank: Old Navy

Green, Black and a hint of Gray
I always like these pants because they are stretchy and comfortable, but its hard to style them without looking like a leprechaun. I do like this outfit though. Black and green with a hint of grey. Not bad.

Green Skinnies: Lauren Conrad, from Kolhs
Striped Shirt: Random brand…not sure where it’s from, its a hand me down from my sister
Silky Blazer: Lauren Conrad, from Kolhs

Getting it Together
Here I am finally getting it together. I saw this really cute outfit on J’s Everyday Fashion Blog and loved it, especially because I could recreate it very easily. I did it two ways. The first is a slightly more casual version, which I am wearing today, and the second is with some heels. The outfit with the heels brings another color into the mix besides blue, black and white: green. I like it. Which do you like?
Rough Week
I know what you’re thinking….Leggings again?! Yes, Leggings again…I had a hard time this week with getting my outfits togethre, since it was a short week and I was tired. so I opted for (yet another) pair of leggings and heavy weight anthropology sweater that I borrowed from my sister. Super easy and I love it.
Black Cat
Lots O Leggins
College Daze
This is an outfit I would have worn when I was in college. No, this is an outfit I DID wear in college, but only about 8 days a week. Literally these exact clothes…maybe I need to go shopping! haha. Today I’m exhausted, which is why I’m doing the Uggs/Skinnies/Hoodie thing. Then I went with matching Burberry scarf, and gold earrings/bracelet/watch.
Skinnies: Express like 10 years ago
Hoodie: My Frat hoodie from college. #DeltaSigmaPi
Scarf: (Fake) Burberry – from a cart in the mall
Am Ironic Birthday Ode
I didn’t realize it until far much later, but I did something quite ironic today. Today for some reason I had the desire to pull down a bin in my closet and pull out my Pink Floyd tee-shirt, which I haven’t worn in years, literally. I don’t know why either. Nothing was striking me, so I ended up with my orange cords, my Pink Floyd tee, and an open chambray button down with boots. Nothing special. Now the ironic part about this outfit is that after I got to work I realized that its one of my ex-boyfriends birthdays today and he is OBSESSED with Pink Floyd. (Yes, he’s my age, but he’s obsessed with Pink Floyd…and his waterbed…clearly he’s living in the past). Anyways, I just thought it was very strange and ironic that I would unintentionally wear this. ha
Boots: Old Navy
Cords: Ann Taylor Loft
Pink Floyd Tee: Walmart
Chambray button down: Tommy Hilfiger
Necklace: Homemade by moi
Earrings: no clue – I actually think I got it as a set with a necklace at a souvenir shop to be honest.
Friday Blizzard
We are supposed to get hammered today with about 2 feet of snow. That being said, I am working from home today, but had to run out to the grocery store before the weather got too bad so I bundled up in my trapper hat, fur leg warmers, black skinnies, and a turtleneck sweater. I thought it was cute, but just about everyone I saw was staring at me, so maybe it wasn’t! Haha
Boots: Ugg Australia
Leg warmers: gift
Black Skinnies: J.Crew
Sweater: GAP
Trapper Hat. L.L.Bean
Copy Cat
I love leopard, and like most people that wear leopard frequently, I think it goes with everything. haha. I saw this outfit on J’s Everyday and knew I needed to recreate it since I had all the necessities. I love the maroon, leopard, and black together. It’s fun, but in many ways also subdued. Great work outfit! I paired it with some gold-ish jewelry and maroon suede pumps.

Maroon Tuxedo Sweater: Ann Taylor Loft
Leopard Blouse: S.Y.L.K., Las Vegas
Necklace: Lia Sophia

Super Bowl Aftermath
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t watch the Super Bowl. Not even one second of it. Not even the half time show. Another confession: I didn’t realize that I’m basically wearing the Raven’s colors until I saw the Ravens logo/jerseys everywhere after their win last night. I guess I need to catch up, huh!? I just got my lavender skinny cords back from my sister and since I woke up late today I kept it simple with a black button down, flats, and some “diamonds”.
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Lavender Skinnies: Ann Taylor Loft
Black Button Down: Target
Watch: J.Lo (Kohls)
Necklace: So old I can’t remember
